PEPT problem presented at maths workshop
The Seventh Mathematics in Industry Study Group in South Africa was held at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in Muizenberg, Cape Town, from Monday 11 January to Friday 15 January 2010. Dr Indresan Govender, Lawrence Bbosa and Angus Morrison attended the workshop to present a problem on Positron Emission Particle Tracking (PEPT) and oversaw the study group assigned to solving it.
This year’s Mathematics in Industry Study Group brought together academic staff, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and industry representatives from South African and international universities to work on problems submitted by industry.
