RICSHAW team meet at IMPC 2016

The BRICS Multilateral Pilot Call is a joint proposal developed under the theme of Water Management. ICEMR-RAS (Russia), IISc (India), BGRIMM (China) and CMR-UCT (South Africa) have partnered in an attempt to understand the effect of water quality on flotation outcomes. Members of the RICSHAW project team met at the IMPC 2016 to wish each other success with the proposal and begin what are sure to be a fruitful collaborations.

Through funding gained from the National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF) / Academy of Finland (AF) Science and Technology Research Collaboration, the “Bridging North to South” project will be performed as a collaboration between the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Aalto University, Finland, and the Centre for Minerals Research at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. The project aims to outline research protocols for evaluation and implementation of closed water circuits in mineral concentrators, to achieve zero emission plants.
